The Gospel Lights
Drummer
I was born September 5,1967 in Elgin, Ill., in the Cook County Hospital. My mother was a house wife. My father is a Refined Truck driver.
I went to school in Madison County, and graduated from Jackson Central Merry High School.
My first involvement in music was when I played in the Band at J.C.M. My first experience with God was at the age of 12, at Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. S.P. Sanders. I now belong to Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Atwood, TN.
I have a lovely wife by the name of Janette Binion. We have two girls, three boys ,and two grandchildren.
I got started with the Gospel Lights by Owens Taylor who asked me to play the drums. I've been with the group for seven years. The group means a whole lot to me and I thank God for the group. I hope that the group goes to the top of singing gospel.
I would like to say 'thanks' to some special people who got me started with the drums: Walnut Grove Male Chorus, James H. Pearson, Danny Pearson, Wayne Pearson, and The Gospel Aires.
