The Gospel Lights - George Burrow

I was born in Atwood Tennessee which is a small town on the west side of Carroll County with a population of about 1100 people, on December 15, 1942. My parents are Abe and Annie Mae Burrow.

I attended the public school in Atwood.

My first involvement in music was when I started singing in church as a child.

I had my first experience with God when I was nine years old. At that time I attended Sunday school, Morning Worship and sang in the Church Choir,

I am an active member of the Olivet Baptist Church in McKenzie Tennessee.

I work for The Highway Department of Tennessee and I have worked there for almost thirty years.

My wife is Vivian Burrow. I have five children and seven grandchildren.

I started singing with The Gospel Lights about four years ago. I am a lead singer but sometimes I sing in the background.

The Gospel Lights are a very important part of my life. My hope and dream for the future is to continue to work for the Lord and become professional someday.
