Group Assistant Manager

I was born on February 28, 1968 in Washington DC. Both of my parents, Wilbert C. and Rosa M. Yarbrough are from North Carolina. My father served in WW II from 1945 to 1947. His Federal Government work began in 1952, with The US. Department of Defense and retired after twenty-six years of service. He departed this life in July of 1999. My mother worked for the District of Columbia Public School Systems. She also did domestic work for two nursing schools, while raising nine children and being a wonderful mother. Both parents went to church on Sunday mornings. My mother had a stroke in 1991, while I was serving my country in Desert Storm, now paralyzed on the right side, my family takes care of her full time.

I attended my early school years in the Maryland School System; Ardmore Ardwick Elementary, St. Mary's Catholic School, James McHenry Middle School, then transferred to the Washington D.C. School System, where I attended Brown Middle School and Spingarn high School where I graduated in 1987. I also worked my senior year at the Agency for International Development. After I graduated I continued working for the agency. In 1988 I decided to join the army and stayed in until 1992. My mother and I decided to move to Holladay, Tennessee where I joined the US Army Reserve until 1996. In 1993 I started working at a clothing factory H.I.S.(Henry I Siegal) for seven years, then I worked for Belin Mfg. Co. in Huntingdon Tennessee. In the year 2001 I took a leave of absence to take care of my mother on a full time basis.

As a teenager I attended a Seventh Day Adventist Church where I sang with the youth and male chorus. While in the military I started attending a Baptist Church. In 1994 I started attending St. John Baptist Church where I met and married my lovely wife Dianna, who is the daughter of Tommy Bond, one of the lead singers of The Gospel Lights. I started going to their practices and programs and after they recorded their first CD they decided to make me one of them. My job is to sell CD's and part or the management and bookkeeping. I have been with the group for five years and I thank God everyday for the Gospel Lights where I have learned so much about being part of a group. They have shown me the meaning of loving one another and how to be a Christian man. There are not many gospel groups that sing from their hearts and not put on a show. This group loves the Lord and singing for Him. I am one of the youngest members of the group and these guys are my big brothers. I can't be with them all the time but my heart is. My heart hurts when I can't be with them.

My hopes and dreams for this group is that they can be heard all over this great country. People that listen to this group, your soul will be happy when you hear through song how good God has been to them. God blessed us to put out our second CD and I hope and pray that everyone can get a blessing from listening to this CD.
